Mother's Day is Sunday May, 12 this year. That is coming quickly. If you are like me, you often forget this day until it sneaks up in your calendar and you see it the day before. I end up scrambling, and feel like what I give is not as good as it could have been if I had planned. This year, I'm on it. Something creative, useful, unique and pretty. Something not too expensive, and something my mom will likely keep for years. I'm designing her an address stamp, and this is why your mom probably needs one too. (Hopefully you aren't reading this mom...)
Oh! Spring has arrived! We even have blue sky here in BC to celebrate. A new season means new and awesome things.
Tylor and I will be exhibiting Kayla English Creative at the Abbotsford TradeX for the Fraser Valley Business Showcase on April 10. Our first tradeshow event, and we've got some sweet ideas up our sleeves. If you're in the area, come and meet us! For more information on the show, visit www.fvtradex.com and click on the events page. From the beginning of my career, I've always gone head first into my job. Working at a creative studio for almost four (great) years, I gave it my all. Now, I have to dive into a different pool. It is a totally new sensation having my name at the top of a this website. This is me now, and In a way, it feels like I'm starting something completely different. I'm a designer who is always changing and always learning. A gigantic thank-you to those of you who have backed me through this process and transition. Encouragement means a lot, and breaking into a new creative community, in a new Province can be slightly... intense. Thank-you for believing in my wacky style and bizarre way of thinking. Thank you to Shari and Mike who successfully captured "me" with your cameras, and seriously helped bring this website to life! You're great. And thank-you to my right-hand man Tylor for being the best business partner and having such a stylish beard.
It's time to launch. Officially.
Tylor and I have been researching, working, learning and building and we're pleased to officially announce Kayla English Creative. We are currently taking on new work and look forward to working with you! |
